Until further notice, we have placed our Greenland Paddles on hold. As of today, October 12, 2007, our Greenland paddle maker has told us that he must suspend his work on Western Red Cedar due to health problems caused by the sawdust from WRC. We are currently pursuing alternate materials for our paddles. Thank you for your patience and understanding, as we don't want to sacrifice someone's health in exchange for dollars.
This custom West Greenland Paddle is handcrafted from Western Red Cedar. The blades are edged with Curly Maple and tipped with Epoxy. The entire paddle is then finished with Tung oil to preserve the wood and give it a nice, glossy finish.
Every Greenland Paddle comes with its own fleece paddle case to protect it when storing it or transporting it. The paddle case is also available separately for $12.99.

To determine what length your Greenland Paddle should be, put your arm straight up in the air, curl your fingers, and have someone measure the distance from your knuckles to the ground.
To determine the length of the loom, or shaft, hold your hands loosely at your side and bend your arms at the elbow until they are parallel to the ground. Make a fist with each hand, palms down, and measure the distance between the inside of your fists, thumb to thumb.
Note that the length of the loom will determine the length of the blades. Every aspect of these paddles is customizable, from the width of the blades to the type of wood used.
